Frequently Asked Questions
How do I redact a photo?
Import a photo, then either tap Redact All to auto-cover detected sensitive info (phone numbers, emails, ID numbers, card numbers, addresses), or tap / drag manually with the brush. Then tap Save.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs on your device. The app makes zero network requests of its own — see our Offline Whitepaper for how to verify this yourself.
How does the free plan work?
The free plan allows 1 export per day. A one-time purchase unlocks unlimited exports forever — no subscription.
I bought Pro but it's not unlocked on my new device.
Tap Restore Purchases in Settings or on the purchase screen. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device.
Why does the app need photo library access?
Write-only access, used solely to save the redacted image you export. The app never reads or browses your library.
Are the exported images safe from metadata leaks?
Yes. Exported images are re-encoded and automatically stripped of EXIF/GPS metadata.
